Take your miniatures to the next level with Villainy Ink's Blighted Bone Ochre, a premium enamel wash designed specifically for creating incredibly realistic bones, skulls, and warm organic textures. Handcrafted in-house by the experts at the legendary Grimdark Compendium, this wash features a rich, warm ochre tone that instantly adds realistic depth, decay, and shadow to your models.

Whether you are painting a towering heap of skeletal remains, polishing up some warm bone armor, or detailing infected, diseased flesh, Blighted Bone Ochre is a highly versatile tool. It is an essential addition to your palette if you are exploring the gritty "grimdark" aesthetic or the highly stylized "blanchitsu" technique.

Key Features & Hobby Role:

  • Perfect for Bones & Flesh: Specially formulated to flow into the recesses of skulls, skeletons, horns, claws, and skin, adding natural warmth and contrast.

  • Realistic Surface Variation: Dries to a gorgeous, subtle satin-to-matte finish that naturally mimics organic material for maximum realism.

  • Highly Blendable & Forgiving: Because enamels dry much slower than acrylics, you can easily blend, fade, or erase the wash using the reductive technique until your highlights pop perfectly.

Product Specifications:

  • Product Type: Miniature Paint / Enamel Wash

  • Brand: Villainy Ink (Grimdark Compendium)

  • Paint Type: Solvent-Based Enamel

  • Best For: Bone, skulls, flesh, organic textures, and warm weathering

What’s Included in the Box?

  • 1x Villainy Ink - Blighted Bone Ochre Enamel Wash (Single Bottle)

Important Note for Beginners: Enamel washes are solvent-based rather than water-based like standard acrylic hobby paints. To get the absolute best results and use the "reductive technique" (applying the wash and gently wiping the excess off of raised areas), we highly recommend using a bottle of odorless mineral spirits (enamel thinner) along with cotton swabs or makeup sponges. Always paint with enamels in a well-ventilated space!
