Take your miniature painting to the next level with Villainy Ink's Carrion Crimson, a premium enamel wash specifically engineered for rendering hyper-realistic flesh, mottled skin, and detailed organic surfaces. Handcrafted in-house by the experts at the legendary Grimdark Compendium, this rich, deep red wash is designed to bring unmatched depth and gritty realism to your models.

What makes Carrion Crimson truly unique is its custom formulation. It contains microscopic pigment particulates that naturally settle to recreate skin blotches, bruised tissue, and organic textures that are incredibly difficult to paint by hand. Paired with the reductive technique—where you apply the wash and then gently wipe it away from raised areas—this enamel completely replaces flat red acrylic washes to boost your painting workflow tenfold.

Key Features & Hobby Role:

  • Realistic Granulated Texture: Formulated with microscopic particulates that naturally settle to simulate realistic skin blemishes, organic mottling, and raw tissue.

  • Lifelike Surface Finishes: Dries with a gorgeous satin-to-gloss finish, providing natural variation in light reflection for ultimate flesh realism.

  • Streamlined Shading & Weathering: Perfect for painting muscles, wounds, alien hides, and specialized organic details with fluid, effortless blending.

Product Specifications:

  • Product Type: Miniature Paint / Enamel Wash

  • Brand: Villainy Ink (Grimdark Compendium)

  • Paint Type: Solvent-Based Enamel

  • Best For: Flesh tones, skin blotches, organic textures, and deep red shading

What’s Included in the Box?

  • 1x Villainy Ink - Carrion Crimson Enamel Wash (Single Bottle)

Important Note for Beginners: Enamel washes are solvent-based rather than water-based like standard acrylic hobby paints. To get the absolute best results and use the "reductive technique" (applying the wash and gently wiping the excess off of raised areas), we highly recommend using a bottle of odorless mineral spirits (enamel thinner) along with cotton swabs or makeup sponges. Always paint with enamels in a well-ventilated space!
